Storage
Delaying the delivery of an interstate shipment is easy with MAX Van Lines' Storage-in-Transit (SIT) service. When you request that your shipment be placed in SIT, the benefits of moving with MAX Van Lines are extended to storage.
SIT offers:
-- Transit storage for up to 180 days - ample time for locating or taking possession of your new residence. Storage beyond 180 days is available from the agent on a local (non-MAX Van Lines) basis. -- Household items stay in their original moving cartons. The cartons are then placed in secure storage containers. -- Upholstered furniture is stretch-wrapped and placed on specially designed racks. -- Vehicles, boats and trailers are sheltered inside the warehouse. -- All shipments accepted into SIT are inspected by both the delivery driver and storage agent to ensure every item on the Household Goods Descriptive Inventory is fully accounted for.
MAX Van Lines also sets minimum acceptable standards for its agents' warehouses in the MAX Van Lines-Class Commitment guidelines. Some examples of these standards include:
-- All household goods items are containerized. -- Storage containers are neat, organized and in good condition. -- There is a designated person for security and maintenance. -- Warehouse has heat sensors or a sprinkler system.
Talk to your MAX Van Lines Representative about your storage needs. With a thorough understanding of your storage requirements, the move coordinator can assess options available and recommend the best to suit your needs.
